“Intersolar North America fair” – California, July 9-12, 2012

The Intersolar North America fair , that will be in the Moscone Centre in San Francisco, California, from 9 to 12 July 2012, brings together users and suppliers of photovoltaic technologies and solar products and services, and 950 exhibitors and 22,500 visitors are expected to attend in 2012. Five Italian companies will be taking part, and will bring the best made in Italy products from the sector with them, including gear motors, transmission systems and gearboxes, machines for cleaning photovoltaic systems on the ground and counter-rotating brushes, solar gadgets made from FSC approved wood, plus accessories for the modular assembly of solar and photovoltaic panels on a range of surfaces and applications.

The Italian Trade Commission will set up an information point where the “Machines Italia” and “Italian Clean Technology” projects will be presented, and informative materials on the two promotional initiatives will be distributed, together with copies of the book “The Italian Edge – Technology for sustainability”, discussing the synthesis between the environment and sustainable industrial technologies. The “Machines Italia” project in particular has a triple objective: to develop programmes aimed at creating an association between Italy and technology, to promote and enhance capabilities for research, applied technological innovation and flexible adaptation to production processes, and to alter the “traditional” image of Italy as a country that predominantly produces consumer goods.
